'Above helicon, beyond muses, Keep me from single vision, grant me mystical ecstasy.' These words are from a spoken word poem written and performed by Anna Nangle as part of a guided performative journey across Sydney Harbour with invited participants. In this work she expresses her desire to find a new way to ‘listen’ to place that goes beyond western classical traditions whilst still acknowledging the legacy of colonial trauma.
