Hawa
Hawa is an an oversized scarf which is block printed and dyed using bandhani and wax resist techniques. The scarf is dyed from madder root, a traditional and natural dyeing agent commonly used in India. Alexandra took inspiration from the architectural form of the Hawa Mahal, drawing on the shape of front facade, as well as the peep-hole windows that the Royal women peered through. Due to the large sized of the scarf, it can be worn as a scarf, poncho or used as a throw.
