Zoe Gojnich's practice encourages a sticky materiality, inviting an entanglement of referential layers constantly in flux. She is interested in the labour of making and looks to forge a space where both artist and audience can re-encounter materials. Gojnich presents spatially dependent installations that provoke a disruption to the relational hierarchies between objects and bodies. Her research revolves around knotting as a methodology to investigate the 'thingness' of materials and the agency of objects.
