Evolved from old saris, the intricate, distinctive style of Kantha embroidery contrasted against the textured designs stamped from block prints are the techniques of inspiration in this collection. Circular motifs and organic line work are evident throughout the designs as a symbolic reference to the fine stitched lengths of embroidery that artisans practice. Each design has been dismantled from a complex and fine embroidery motif and challenged to its most basic form.
