"I wanted to simulate the removal of excess, the rebirth that awaits me, to try to comprehend that future and to accept the pain and suffering it will take to achieve it. After all, nothing worth having comes easily. I filmed myself ripping away liquid latex from areas of excess, peeling away that 'skin', simulating my impending excess skin removal surgeries."
