'decode+recode' offers a framework for engagement with current and future fashion industry systems. Using stagnating, obsolescent or damaged garments within their own wardrobe, students will extend their capabilities to redesign their own clothing. The expectation is that in the future the students will see fashion as a process to be considered, not just a product to be consumed. This project aims to generate a culture of care for the environmental and human systems of creation, as well as encourage care for the product itself.
