Hyun Jee Cho's body of work examines the discourse surrounding cultural identity and displacement. Her video reveals the interactions and conversations while craft-making between herself, her mother and grandmother. This work demonstrates how intergenerational collaboration through craft-making reinforces a connection to and understanding of familial and cultural values. The hand-held camera enhances intimacy through free-flowing movement, as if by human observation. Cultural exchange occurs through observational learning and interpersonal interactions.
