KETAGIH
‘Ketagih' explores the correlation between the psychology of escapism in youth, and the modest lifestyle of Malayan culture through cinematic film. This ongoing project has culminated in a narrative short film which has been contextualised entirely in the artists' native language, Bahasa Melayu. The title ‘Ketagih’ encapsulates the idea that addiction does not always occur in relation to drug use, but can emerge in the desire for freedom and experimentation that many teenagers experience. Nevertheless, through this film Auni Atirah Mohd Noh and Nurul Hidayah Adnan consider the ramifications of obsession and its impact towards other individuals.
