‘Pitch’ is a display typeface inspired by experiences of sound and media. Influenced by the collisions between ambient media and consciously consumed media, ‘Pitch’ reflects on this spectrum of awareness through forms which move in and out of focus. Building on systems of musical notation, each letterform is created from a circular framework, and seeks to explore the potential of display typefaces as experimental images rather than functional characters.
