In this rapidly advancing society, technology can become overwhelming, outstripping our understandings. These rapid technological developments lead to obsolescence, resulting in increasing amounts of e-waste. Younna Lee’s work 'The technofossils' invites the audience into an image of a future world if electronic devices continue to be consumed and discarded. Inspired by science-fiction narratives, in this scenario humans have irresponsibly left earth due to excessive e-waste landfill, however, the electronic devices continue to work, transforming into mutant ‘technofossils’.
