Mindful Eating
This installation responds to the experience of mindful eating. The project has four components: ‘eating what’, ‘eating over’, ‘eating half’ and ‘eating enjoyable’, each aspect encouraging viewers to pursue a healthy, reasonable and enjoyable diet. The contrast of healthy food and the white junk food on the dining table reflects how consumers have the right to make lifestyle choices, while the Rococo style headpiece reminds participants to eat slowly. Through a considered design, this project also limits the eating pace. The design of the golden tableware allows users to control their diet by having smaller bites or ‘eating half’. Finally, the design of the lunch box aims to enrich the user’s experience, fostering an ‘enjoyable eating’ process.
