Yeung Cheng's short film 'Embers' explores the realm of self-contradictions through the story of two people that have been alone together for a very long time. By hybridising 2D and 3D animation, Cheng emphasises a sense of beauty and fluidity in the film, but uses such aesthetics to caution the audience of the contradictions within beauty.
