Timothy Geldard's work is an aesthetic study of the dichotomy between cosmological chaos and order. The science of the deep sea, space, mythology and monsters were used to attempt to understand how infinite formless potentials interact with order. This concept is demonstrated when the dark volcanic hellscapes filled with alien creatures at the bottom of the sea in turn project the right chemicals and minerals upwards to sustain life on this planet. This contrast informed the final work, as Geldard sought to discover a balance between violent chaos and domestic life.
