Making Home consists of domestic portraits of immigrants living in Sydney. It examines ‘home’ both as a functional space and as a concept representing ideals of comfort and belonging. What can living spaces say about those who inhabit them? How do household objects manifest as mementos of past and present landscapes? In consultation with the participants in this series who also titled the works, Sasha Mishkin explores the home as a site where personality is performed and interior worlds portrayed.
