With a global increase in population, finding a sustainable food source is a necessary condition for future human development. Unconventional foods such as edible insects, algae, and artificial meat have been proposed to alleviate the potential food shortage crisis due to their value of high protein content, higher land-use efficiency, and low production costs and waste. However, it is difficult to accept insects as alternative food because of their appearance, living habits and pathogenic potential. Therefore, this unconventional design creates a ritual experience for people to taste insects through a series of jewellery wearables and tableware, aiming to transform the prejudice and disgust associated with eating insects.
