Time is a construct: it materialises through systems, and is built with inherent bias. As an intervention against time, this work suggests a reprogramming of time for subjective expression in order to give space to knowledge outside of the demand for temporal synchronicity and narrative constructions of 'linear progress'. Through this work, Jessica Fogarty encourages the audience to consider who shapes and regulates time, and who is entitled to a future through its framing. In theorising new temporal ways of seeing and connecting, this work suggests a multiplicitous rematerialisation of time, facilitating the creation of individual systems and expressions of time.
