Devon Mer’s practice revolves around the aesthetics of human movement and the body as allegory across two-dimensional mediums and live performance. The iterative project ‘Between Two Points’ is an exploration of storytelling using the human body informed by the nuances of cultural identity and its intersection with dance expression. As an intimate inquiry, this work re-contextualises and deconstructs the seemingly independent creative expressions of image-making, free verse poetry, and dance.
