People in North Korea are suffering from a lack of human rights, indoctrinated and controlled by the oppressive regime. Cathryn Jung aims to raise empathy and awareness of issues in North Korea by inviting the Australian audience into a propaganda setting. The project reflects materialistic Australian consumer culture, promoting consideration of links between Australian values and the situation in North Korea.
