Amy Heycock’s work focuses heavily on music and the idolising of musicians and popular culture icons. Photographed across many cities including Sydney, London, Leeds, Melbourne and New York, Heycock attempts to photograph almost as if there were no one else around, capturing that idealistic experience where it is just you and the musician. Her embroideries draw upon these photographs in a way to explore a tactile form of these experiences. This embroidery is based off a live photograph of GURR, shot at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, UK.
