Matilda Roberts has developed the project ‘Life Beyond Waste’ with the intention of creating a physical manifestation of food in a new form, educating viewers and representing food waste in society. Through a guide, Roberts addresses the issue of waste by exploring sustainable food sources, offering alternatives to food disposal, and stressing the ramifications of food wastage. The pages book itself have been made from food waste products including egg shells, avocado skin and dried herbs as a physical symbol of re-evaluating how we view the life span of food.
