'Cyborborygmus' is an audiovisual work that montages scanned images of the artist’s body, accompanied with a soundscape which transforms audio recordings of the organic body into something mechanical. In this work, Nguyen explores the relationship between the human body and machines, and ideas of ‘haunted media’. The screen becomes a space for life, trapping bodies and distorting them.
