In this artwork the Lampenmaakster statue represents the artist's ties to Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The Australian dictionary reflects knowledge, truth and education in relation to cultural identity. The unfinished quality of the work highlights the transient, flexible and unsolvable nature of identity. It is through the abstraction of the drawing that the artist is able to explore the medium of drawing and disrupt the traditional Dutch still life.
