'Go for hope' is an installation inspired by stage design utilising layout, light and objects to produce an isolated, immersive space where viewers are encouraged to touch the fabric. By experimenting with rough and soft textures, Christina Cai aims to accentuate the viewer's sensory experience, combining senses of sight and touch. A light shines through a fluffy white cotton in the centre of the installation resembling a sense of hope for the future, and as viewers walk towards the light, the textiles become softer.
